A Lil' Bit About Me:

The Full Story

Like most humans, I love music. I've been creating my own music since 2016, when I had to make a music composition portfolio for Susquehanna University's Bachelor of Music in Music Composition degree. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, but one I don't regret. I was able to find my voice as a composer at university and discover my love for creating electronic and electro-acoustic works. It lit a fire under me that would propel me into exploring music in media.

Since graduating from Susquehanna in 2021, I've gone on to earn my Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Sheridan College's Music Scoring for Screen and Stage program, and graduated in August of 2022. I was given the amazing opportunity to collaborate with up-and-coming filmmakers, animators, and video game developers by creating music that helped bring their projects to life!

It was also at Sheridan that I discovered how much I enjoy implementing audio in video games. I am a Certified Wwise 101 User and have completed all course content for Wwise courses 201 and 301. (For context, the 301 course teaches users about Wwise-Unity Integration.)

Whenever I'm not creating scores and music, you'll probably find me playing with my shi-poo dog, watching anime, or enjoying a gripping single-player, narrative-driven video game. Or some other kinds of games too, but those tend to be my favourites.

These days I'm rotating between Outer Wilds, GBA-Era Castlevania games, The Sims 4, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Gotta have some variety, y'know? Every now and then, I'll pick back up Subnautica too--I do love a good game with some atmospheric horror elements, which is what quite a bit of my music is inspired by.

In fact, if it weren't for some of the impactful scores I've heard in games, I may never have developed such a deep appreciation for music and audio, and how it massively enhances the experience of any piece of media.

Mission

Each project has a specific, unique emotion its creators want their audience to feel. My job is to capture those emotions with music, or to enhance the audio's effect with how it is implemented in a game. By using my trusty sound libraries, hardware synths, and audio-recording skills, I offer the service of not just making your projects more engaging for your audiences, but more immersive and memorable, too.

Vision

Music may not enhance story-telling in regards to what is literally happening, but it has so much power and potential in enhancing the emotion of a film scene, a video game level, a podcast intro, etc. My aim is to transport audiences into the world of the media they're engaging with, and to give my collaborators full confidence that the intended emotions of their projects will be augmented and remembered long after they're first conveyed.
